Arkansas State Police have arrested six people and recovered 38 victims in a human trafficking recovery operation in Arkansas.
Six People Arrested in Operation Delta
According to the Arkansas State Police, six people who transported victims to the location were taken into custody. One person was charged with possession of a firearm, while the other five were charged with promoting prostitution. ASP talked with nine victims, all of whom were provided access to victim services and support resources.
One of the suspects attempted to get away but was apprehended after ASP Criminal Investigation Division Special Agents executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention with local agency assistance.
Additionally, law enforcement agencies reported that 29 local victims were identified in Operation Delta. The minors were taken into protective custody, while one child was removed from exploitative, vulnerable, and unstable conditions. Adult victims taken into custody received support services.

Earlier this year, in January, a statewide resource website was established to help victims of human trafficking, and includes a way for the public to report potential trafficking to the Arkansas State Police.
