All of the riders will be local players, giving everyone the chance to watch friends, neighbors, and familiar faces attempt this tricky sport of riding a donkey while playing basketball. It’ll be a great night as you see the donkeys make their own rules for the game.

It's A Doubleheader Donkey Extravaganza at Genoa Central Middle School

It will be a doubleheader showdown, with winning teams advancing to a championship playoff game to crown this year’s Donkey Basketball champion. Fans may even spot world-famous comedy donkeys like “Earthquake” or “Widow Maker,” known for their rough-and-tough personalities.

Donkey Basketball Helps Support Genoa Students and School Programs

This fun event is sponsored by Genoa Central’s Quiz Bowl teams and After Prom Committee, helping support student activities and programs.

Ticket Information for Donkey Basketball

Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Genoa Central School District. Tickets at the door will be $15, if space is available. Preschool-aged children and younger get in free.

It is encouraged and recommended to purchase your tickets early, as seating is limited.
