First Radio Dude In Space? It’s Still A Dream I Guess
The kid in me that wanted to be an Astronaut still wants to I guess, cause this stuff makes me geek out big time.
I was born in 1962 so you'll forgive me if I actually believed at one time that those Jetsons' cars were just around the corner. For crying out loud, man set foot on the moon before I turned 10 years old, I thought we would be colonizing Mars before I turned 50, alas twas not to be. Space travel, vacations around the rings of Saturn, charging headlong into worm holes and emerging on the other side of the galaxy, all should have happened by now. Pushing the envelope and the limits of space flight and speed were commonplace at one time. Those were the days.
I'm not sure what NASA is doing these days but I do know we no longer have a space craft to carry our astronauts back and forth to the International Space Station, we have to rely on the Russians to do that. That's a little embarrassing to me.
I also know that I still haven't gotten my invitation to be the first Radio Dude in space! There's still time, I can wait.
For now though, let's look at the live feed from the ISS, it's amazing. Make it full screen in your browser, it really is dazzling.
