9th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk in Texarkana

Thanksgiving Day for a lot of people it means getting up early and preparing for a day of food, family and friends, but what about starting out the day differently this year? Join the fun at the 9th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning.

It all takes place on Thanksgiving morning Thursday, November 24 in Spring Lake Park. This year the Turkey Trot will be dedicated in memory of Jeanell Cannon, the Turkey Trot event founder. This year’s theme is “Jogging for Jeanell”.

Get ready for the race at Spring Lake Park located in Texarkana, Texas. Registration will begin at 7:30 AM and the race will get underway at 8:30 AM.

Not only will you have fun but being a part of this event whether you run or walk or just donate you will be raising funding for Community Healthcore. According to their Facebook page, Community Healthcore helps adults, children, and families with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them all achieve Dignity, Independence and make their dreams come true.
