Arrest Made in Texarkana Structure Explosion & Fire
An arrest has been made following a months-long investigation into a February house explosion and fire in Texarkana, Texas.
According to the Texarkana Texas Fire Marshal’s Office, firefighters responded to a structure fire on February 2, 2026, at a home located in the 200 block of Oakhill Road. When crews arrived, they found the single-story brick residence fully engulfed in flames. Officials said early observations indicated the home had also experienced a major explosion.

Fire Marshals launched an origin-and-cause investigation and later determined that a gas cook stove had reportedly been removed from the residence without the natural gas supply being properly shut off. Investigators believe natural gas continued flowing into the home for several hours before encountering an ignition source, triggering a powerful explosion and fire that destroyed the structure.
Arrest Made Following Investigation
Working alongside the Texarkana Texas Police Department and the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office, investigators gathered evidence and witness statements that led to an arrest warrant.
