Texarkana Man Wins $100,000 on Arkansas 50X Scratch-off Ticket

Talk about being lucky a Texarkana man won $100,000 playing the Win Instant $5 50X game on Monday, April 1, 2024.

According to the Magnolia Reporter, James Clayton of Texarkana, Texas purchased the winning ticket at the EZ Mart #4324 on State Line Avenue. He bought two $5 instant game tickets but the first one was not a winning ticket but on the second ticket he won $5. Clayton decided to use the $5 prize to purchase a 50X game scratch-off ticket which turned out to be the big  $100,000 top prize winning ticket.

At first, he wasn't quite sure he had won that much money but after going back into the store to verify it was right he couldn't believe it. He claimed his prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center

After surprising his wife with his winnings he plans on sharing some of his earnings with family members and using the rest for retirement expenses.

Clayton is a twice-weekly lottery player and winning on April Fool's Day was no joke it was very special no doubt.
