Texarkana Police Searching for Man Accused of Child Sexual Assault
Texarkana Texas Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of multiple serious crimes involving a child.
TTPD is searching for 46-year-old Gordon Lemons, who is wanted on charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a child. Lemons was arrested in July 2024 for aggravated sexual assault of a child and was later released after posting a $150,000 bond.
Lemons Tried To Fake His Own Death
According to investigators, just days before additional similar charges were filed in May 2025, Lemons allegedly attempted to fake his own death and fled the area. Authorities say he traveled to South Texas in an effort to cross into Mexico but was unsuccessful.
Police allege Lemons then received help from his ex-girlfriend, Thesia Griffin, who is accused of assisting him in avoiding law enforcement. Griffin was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Bowie County Jail on a charge of hindering apprehension.
Believed to Be in Arkansas
Investigators now believe Lemons is hiding in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with help from family or friends. He is considered dangerous, and the public is urged not to approach him.
