
Texarkana Man Arrested After Shots Fired Investigation
Texarkana Arkansas Police Respond to Grand Avenue Shooting Call
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department arrested a 33-year-old man Sunday following a shots-fired investigation that began in the 900 block of Grand Avenue in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Officers were dispatched to the area around 10:28 a.m. on May 25 after receiving reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they located several spent shell casings in the roadway. Authorities said no injuries or property damage were reported, even though multiple adults and children were nearby when the shots were fired.
Witnesses at the scene identified the suspect as Deon Bell and provided officers with a description of the vehicle he reportedly left the area in.
Disturbance Call Leads to Arrest
Later that same day, at approximately 12:06 PM, officers responded to a large disturbance at a residence in the 3400 block of Parrish Circle. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle connected to the earlier shooting investigation.

Police located Bell at the residence and took him into custody without incident.

According to authorities, Bell was transported to the Miller County Detention Center, where he was booked on 11 counts of aggravated assault and six counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
As with all criminal cases, even with charges against the suspect, Bell is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

TAPD praised both the quick response by officers and the cooperation of community members who helped provide information during the investigation.
