One person is dead following a huge truck explosion this morning on Hwy 278 West of Camden, Arkansas.

The truck was reportedly carrying a load ammonium nitrate, a fertilizer that can be very explosive. Officials have cordoned off the area about a 1/2 mile in all directions while cleanup operations begin.

Due to extensive damage to the roadway from the 15-foot deep crater caused by the explosion, the highway will most likely remain closed for some time until repairs can be made.
