US 59 Southbound Restricted to One Lane in Marshall for Repair Work
This Thursday afternoon March 14, the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) will be closing the two inside lanes of southbound US 59 in Marshall in order to make repairs to a drainage structure underneath the Union Pacific Railroad underpass.
Southbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between SH 43 North and Union Pacific Railroad. Work on the project is expected to begin on Thursday afternoon, March 14, and be completed by late Friday afternoon, March 15.
Crews will be repairing a concrete drainage structure on southbound US 59 in Marshall on Thursday and Friday, March 14-15. The drain is located underneath the Union Pacific Railroad underpass. This will require the two inside lanes to be closed and all southbound traffic restricted to one lane between SH 43 North and Union Pacific Railroad.
Motorists should to plan for long delays when using this section of roadway and are urged to use alternate routes to their destination if possible.
