Back in 1973, there were dinosaur bones found in Sevier County around Lockesburg, Arkansas. Joe B. Friday found the remains of dinosaur foot bones on his land. The bones were given to the University of Arkansas to keep and study. The bones were given the name 'Arkansaurus Fridayi' because they were found in Arkansas but also it was given the name from the founder too.

What did Arkansaurus Fridayi Look Like?

The Arkansaurus Fridayi was two-legged and some reports say it looked like a big ostrich but from the looks of the recreated drawings, he's actually kinda cute and looks more like a long-legged big old sweet duck. According to EncylopediaofArkansas.net in 2017, the Arkansaurus Fridayi was named the Official State Dinosaur of Arkansas by the Arkansas General Assembly.
