There it is, AT&T Stadium, the house that Jerry built, the home of my team, the world-famous Dallas Cowboys, plus major concerts, and other entertainment options throughout the year. I have yet to see a game inside the Mother Ship as we lovingly call AT&T Stadium, not because I don't want to go to a live NFL game, but simply because... who can afford it?

Thanks to the folks at Action Network who keep track of these things for providing the numbers for this article.

Now, Back To The Action!

Here's the scenario; You, your spouse, and two kids want to attend an NFL home game, doesn't matter where at this point, because none of them are what you would call, cheap. So you purchase four tickets for the game, not the expensive ones, middle-of-the-road priced seats for our examples below. Next, you pay for parking, $28-$30 on average. Two beers for the adults, two soft drinks for the kiddos, four hotdogs, and someone is going to buy a new hat for about $25. These figures don't include gas, lodging, if you're traveling from out of town, food for the weekend trip, etc.

The Best - Worst Priced Team?

The best price out of all the NFL franchises belongs to the Arizona Cardinals. The average price for a family of four? $452.46

The worst price for an NFL stadium visit belongs to California and the San Francisco 49ers. $750.65

Whew, I got a little dizzy just typing that.

As for America's Team?

To my pleasant surprise, my Dallas Cowboys came in mid-pack of these price-rankings. at #19 out of 32 teams at only $580.60 for that same family of four. Not as bad as I thought it might be, but still far beyond what I consider "affordable".

If you would like to see the whole report, check out Action Network.

As for me and my crew, absent a big lottery win, we'll just have to stay home and watch them on the big screen, with snacks, ice cold beverages, no long walks or standing in line for the toilet, or that long drive home after a $600 day-trip to watch them loose. Oh, and your $25 new hat blew off in the parking lot and got run over three times before you could get it back... Grrrrr!

Nah, I'm good. Maybe this will be the year... GO COWBOYS!
