Comicpalooza 2024 in Houston Was A Blast – Highly Recommended
As you probably know by now, my wife Donna and I attend quite a few of these Comic Con-type events each year, and have a great time participating in the Cosplay contests, meeting the stars, doing photo ops, and such. This past Memorial Holiday weekend was no different as we went to Comicpalooza in Houston, Texas, and friends and fans, it was terrific.
We have been to Cons all over this region including San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Shreveport, and even as far away as St Louis. But this time we went to Houston and Comicpalooza.
The George R. Brown Convention Center is a monster of a building and this event was spread out to the max, which is great because as well attended as these large Cons are it can get very crowded, very quickly. This event, however, was spread out perfectly, the patrons were well-behaved, and we never felt overcrowded or sardine-ish in any way.
Everyone associated with the event from the venue security to the volunteers and staff members we dealt with at Comicpalooza 2024 were very polite and helpful. The overall fan experience was terrific and even though the lines were long for some of the autograph sessions and photo ops, everything seemed to be running quite smoothly, which, in this kind of potential chaos, is all any fan could ask for.
I'm sure some people had issues, it is hard to please everyone, but we had a terrific time and will gladly attend another Comicpalooza event.

Who Was There:
Some of this year's guests included Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox, John Cena, Robert Englund, John Heder, Rebecca Romijn, and Anson Mount to name a few.
One of the sad things about going to these events is it's hard to do "everything"... Check out these videos of all that was going on:

The Verdict!
Do we recommend you attend Comicpalooza 2025? Absolutely... will we be there? Unknown at this time, but if we can, yes!
