Will you be taking in a movie this weekend? If so, they're are 3 new movies in theaters this weekend. Probably the most anticipated one is the futuristic action movie Alita: Battle Angel.

Alita: Battle Angel (PG-13)

This part CGI animation action flick is about an a girl named Alita who turns up abandoned in a scrapyard of Iron City by Ido several centuries into the future. The unconscious Alita is taken in by a cyber-doctor where she awakes in a clinic with no memory of who she is and doesn't recognize the world she is now in. As she tries to adapt to her new life, Ido tries to protect her from her mysterious past.  Alita's character almost sounds like Jane Doe in NBC's Blindspot even her hairstyle and black outfit is eerie similar. However, it does look really good. The lineup of stars makes it worth seeing.

Happy Death Day 2U (PG-13)

No, you don't have to relive the original movie over and over again but in this sequel Jessica Rothe returns as sorority murder victim Tree Gelbman. In the first movie, you had to endure Tree being killed 11 times before she figured out in order to stop being killed and reliving the day over she had to catch the killer. In the sequel she discovers it was Carter's roommate that caused the original time loop. Now it looks as though they're stuck in a parallel universe where her mom is still alive but stuck in a new loop with a different killer. I saw the first movie it was definately a different type of movie.  I'm not much on time loop movies but this one actually kept me interested.

Isn't It Romantic (PG-13)

Well, if you're still having a Valentine hangover why not take her to see this movie that has Rebel Wilson as a cynical architect who absolutely hates romantic comedies. In a bizarre twist of events she's mugged and awakes finding herself in a parody of one. Liam  Hemsworth plays a client that takes an interest in her and Adam Devine is her best friend who gets caught up in his own romance. This movie should keep you laughing!
