Three new movies make it to theaters this weekend. Lots of drama and action to be expected in the true to life story based on former Navy Seal Marcus Lutrell  "Lone Survivor" starring Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. Had a chance to see and hear Lutrell's inspiring story of courage and heroism a couple of years ago. Can't wait to see this movie! Also, half-man half-god "The Legend of Hercules" will be slamming into theaters as well. Finally, a story of a man who falls in love with a computer operating system "Her." Sounds a little bizarre.

'The Legend of Hercules'

The story of how Hercules, born half-man and half-god, was exiled from his homeland and forced to fight his way back and regain his honor.

Directed by Renny Harlin

Starring Kellan Lutz, Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Liam McIntyre

'Lone Survivor'

The harrowing true story of a Navy SEAL unit pinned down in hostile territory in Afghanistan by Taliban soldiers.

Directed by Peter Berg

Starring Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch, Taylor Kitsch

'Her'

From the writing/directing team that brought you 'Being John Malkovich' and 'Adaptation' comes this story of a man who falls in love with a computer operating system (that happens to be voiced by Scarlett Johansson).

Directed by Spike Jonze

Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara

Check out this interview with Marcus Lutrell about the movie courtesy of hitfix.com.

Now showing at Cinemark Texarkana.
