Solar Saturday Is Coming Up April 8th in Ashdown, Check Out The Fun

Ever wonder if you can still play a pretty mean game of kickball? Honestly, the thought had never crossed my mind... until now. 

The Little River County Solar Saturday is coming up on Saturday, April 8, 2023, and it looks to be a fun day for everyone, especially those of you wanting to get a little kickball or cornhole action in.

Solar Saturday?

Saturday, April 8 kicks off a year-long countdown to the next big solar eclipse across the United States, and Ashdown in Little River County, Arkansas is slap-dab in the middle of the path of that eclipse. Hey, any excuse for a fun day out with family and friends, count us in.

This Sounds Like a Great Time!

It all takes place at Ashdown City Park located off Westside Dr. across from CD Franks Elementary School. (see map)

There will be vendors, food trucks, and activities for the kids.

The tournaments kick off (pun intended) at 10 AM including:

• Kickball
• Cornhole

At noon, check out the Miss Solar Queen Pageant.

An Easter Egg Hunt for the kids begins at 4 PM.

From 5 - 8 PM don't miss live music with Michael Rhodes and the Jive Band.

Park admission is just $10 per vehicle so load them up and head on out for a great time in Ashdown, Arkansas, Saturday, April 8.
