It's happened again, the new season of the TV show "Forged In Fire" has started up, and it's on my DVR right now. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm excited to see what the guys and gals will be forging, hammering, and grinding into blades this season.

I know what you're thinking, Jim probably sits there eating Cheetos, drinking a beer, and grunting through the whole show... and that's partially true, I'm not much of a beer drinker, but you just might find some orange powder under my fingernails.

If the thought of hammering red-hot steel into blades is something you have always wanted to try, here's an idea, the James Black School of Bladesmithing and Historic Trades will hold two dagger-making courses on November 11 through 15 and November 18 through 20 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

These courses are designed to help the students (you) learn to create a dagger or small sword. The first course will consist of making the blade, and the second will teach you to make the handle.

The course fee is $525 per course, and you will have the privilege of learning from world-renowned bladesmith instructor J.R. Cook.
